240-12C Chipper Canter

Canter 240 is intended for the plane reduction of logs ahead of sawing machines. It may also be used for the production in one machine of timbers and sleepers.

Plane reduction offers a number of advantages:

• simplification of further handling along the production line

• increased output from the saws

• the elimination of two kerfs, or four kerfs at four-sided chipping. Chips are produced instead of sawdust. Slab handling and chipping arrangements are eliminated.
