Engineering Stands Out at Ligna Show 2005 In early January, Wilson Engineering Systems were asked by French partner company, Ciris Engineering, to participate at the Ligna World Fair for the Forestry and Wood Industries in Germany. A decision was made to display a fully operational Wilson 2 Knee Slant Log Carriage on the stand. This was to aid Ciris being able to demonstrate their Oscar 3D True Shape Log Carriage Optimiser. Integrated Electrical from Rotorua, New Zealand provided the PLC and Operator's Console for the show. Wilson
Engineering Systems have sold these packages into New Zealand and Australia for the last 3 years.
The show generated a lot of interest for this type of log carriage in the European and South American markets due
to
it's capabilities and rugged design. Carriage manufacturers and the public spent time viewing the carriage, especially when demonstrations were being performed.
Appreciative comments were made of the high setting speeds, slant angle, operation of the tong dogs and the tubular heavy duty frame.
