A Bruks model BK-DH 365x560 Drum Chipper was installed and commissioned by Wilson Engineering at Auspine Tarpeena over the 2006/2007 Christmas shutdown.

The supply included a Bruks BK-CV450H Vibrating Conveyor and a Bruks BK-CA500 Screw Conveyor.

The original installation was a belt conveyor feeding an Erjo Chipper. As can be seen in the photos there was a considerable amount of spillage off the belt conveyor and out of the Erjo Chipper due to longer pieces getting sideways in the chipper.

Wilson Engineering opted for a Vibrating Conveyor to feed the pine dockings into the Chipper as this allows for orentation of the dockings so they go into the chipper end on and not sideways. A screw conveyor at the rear discharge of the Chipper allows for the discharge area of the Chipper to be fully enclosed into the Screw Conveyor, this has eliminated any spillage and also means that the chip transfer onto the belt conveyor is metered and results in better transfer of chip onto the belt conveyor which also eliminates spillage in this area.

The Equipment has been running since early January and Auspine are very happy with the chip quality and the elimination of spillage around the Chipper.
