 Edger Optimiser
Edging boards on a traditional edging line has, until now,
been the superior method of obtaining the highest possible yield.
The key to a high yield is an advanced scanning and
optimisation system, combined with precise mechanical edging equipment capable of
implementing the optimisation result.
Features enabling high yield in edging:
- Each board is edged individually according to its shape.
- Diagonal edging ensures full utilisation of the conicity and
butt-end width. High yield is obtained even when edging curved pieces.
- Successful optimisation is not limited by the width of the
unedged board. It is possible to optimise and cut more than one board from each sawn
piece provided the line is equipped with a multi-saw edger.
- The product mix can be varied to match order-book
requirements. Selected sizes can be prioritised by modifying the parameters of the
optimisation program.
Edging each board individually is a good option
when there is a need to handle different edging requirements and production volumes.
